At the Y, the pool isn’t just a place to swim; it’s where everyone, from all walks of life, comes together to splash, play, and grow stronger. As demand for our pool continues to grow and diversify we see the need to further enhance our programming and facilities and make the necessary upgrades to ensure that our pool remains a safe and welcoming space for all members of our community.
- The Y has taught generations of people to swim
- It has sent swimmers to the Special Olympics and to the Olympic trials
- It has been the home to regionally acclaimed competitive swim teams recognized for fast times, good sportsmanship, and given masters swimmers a world-class pool in which to train
- It has provided a restorative environment for injury-free exercise and a place for family fun
Since being built in 1901, it has helped hundreds of thousands of swimmers build confidence, health, wellness, resilience, commitment, and work ethic, all while affording access regardless of their ability to pay.
